quick tire question

Default quick tire question

im ordering my terra grapplers in the stock 265/70/17 and when it asked to put in my vehicle to make sure they fit it didnt bring them up it brought up the 285/70/17, the 265s will fit right i have the stock 17s on an 03 quad cab and whats the inch size of the 265's

265 is metric for 265mm. The 285's are obviously wider by 20mm which will directly effect the height of the tire. I don't know what your factory tire size is? Maybe check the door tag and it will tell you but 285 sounds like a big tire from the factory?
that difference will show on your odometer.
285= 11.2" wide @70% aspect ratio=199.5mm sidewall(7.85")
Take the sidewall number of 199.5mm x2 =399mm
399mm=15.71"+ the rim height of 17"= 32.71" size tire

Now for the 265, I'll go quick. It's height is 31.61" size tire

i have 265 on there now i was just wondering why it didnt bring it up as a fit for my truck

either will fit fine. the 285 will throw off your speedo just a little bit.
