I'm glad they were able to "hopefully" find the problem. Good luck getting things taken care of, sorry to hear you had to go thru so much trouble just to find out it was the tires.. geez! You'd a thought they would have tried a stock set after the first couple of trips to the dealer?!

So i'm trying to get mickey thompson to take back the tires, they said that the truck needs to be aligned properly and not to factory specs because of the large tires but they have no idea what to align it to.

I have an 08 with under 1,000 miles and it shakes between 55 and 65 and seems to be getting worse been shaking since 16 miles. I should probably take mine in and see what is going on with it. However, I can see a run around in my future.

All it sounds like to me is that you lost the wieght on your driveshaft or maybe bent it a little.....

Anyways, to the fist post where you say the shake was there before these tires! Did you have the techs check the balljoints or tie rod ends? Did they even mention anything about the driveshaft possibly being an issue? Getting diff tires for the one's you really wanted is great and all, but not if the truck will still shake!
Agreed, the very first post you stated that the shake was there before the tires, you also stated that it did not shake when you took the truck to the dealer with the new tires.

BTW, I've noticed almost everyone who reports this shake or shudder have a coil over front end, coil spacer level kit and larger than stock size tires. The tires they let you try, were they large tires like yours? My guess is your gonna have the shake with ANY brand tire you get that are as large as your ATZ's. I hope not, but we'll see.

By the way, when your talking to Mickey Thompson, your talking to Cooper Tire. Mickey Thompson doesn't exist anymore..

1 simple thing to say: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Add a level kit and big tires...something is gonna change!

Goodyear replaced all 4 tires on my truck. prorated. Still have the shake. not as bad, but it is noticeable, more so while turning on highway, I even pointed that out on my last visit to dealer. These are on the stock 20's.

Hammer the tires they put on at the dealership were the stock rims and tires that come with the 17's.

I have a shimmy on my brand new truck with stock everything. shimmy's between 55 and 65, so Itaking it into the dealer this Friday. I did notice a slight vibration when I was test driving but it wasn't that bad, and I figured it was just part of driving a big 4 wheel drive. However, it has seemed to get a little worse, or I am just paying more attention to it now. I'll post again once I hear back from the dealer.
