Default fluid change??

allright guys im getting my boss to pay for all the fluids to be changed in my truck, so what typ of fluids should i get? and im looking at my haynes and it says to put atf in the transfercase? never had an auto 4x4, the truck is an 04 2500 QC 4x4 hemi auto, im getting the front end, rear end, transmission, and transfercase fluid changed, im also doing all of this by myself, so any tips would be helpful... thanks guys

I'd go Amsoil, Royal purple. If you're doing EVERYTHING, sign up to be a preffered customer with Amsoil. the $10 registration saves you about 20%, ends up being $50 or so on all the fluids. well worth it if you're buying that much stuff.

Yep, if your boss is gonna pony up for the fluids, go with either Amsoil or RP...

nah, not too bad. ends up being low $200s I think. I think it's plenty fair since he's doing the work himself.

i tallyed it all up, for the amsoil its gonna be $300 with the tranny filter, and if i went a genaric brand it would be about 230, but i think its worth the extra $$, and how do i know what typ of tranny do i have? and wile were at it transfercase? its a dummy stick if that helps, didint know dodge had that many autos, its to my understanding the 48RE is for a diesel right?

might as well throw a mobil 1 oil change in too, that is if you can find the oil. my local store told me that mobil 1 has been "out oil for some time" (if thats possible) and hasn't been able to deliver anymore. so all the fancy car owners coming in have been s.o.l.

im pretty sure you have the 545RFE. at least that what is in my 2004 2500 gas. im getting all the stuff to do full fluid and plug/wire changes myself right now, im doing all RP.
