I have about 600 miles on a 2008 1500 with a hemi and in the last 100 miles or so it seems the oil pressure drops considerably after it is warmed up and you slow to an idle. There is no numerical markings on the gauge but it seemed to be always around 1/2 way between the middle mark and high mark on the gauge and recently it falls to about 1/2 way between the middle mark and the low mark on the gauge. This doesn't seem right for a brand new motor.
I checked the oil and it is down about 1/2 qt. I would think a little oil use may be normal for the initial run in but I would think the pressure shouldn't vary.

Any thoughts and/or similar experiences out there. I am taking it to the dealer on Sat to have them check it out. They keep telling me if the "check engine light" doesn't come n it's OK. I am not a big fan of waiting for the computer to tell me something.
