Yeah they boosted it up quite a bit. 310 is the new hp. They didn't increase the power of the hemi's until the 09's though.

310hp baby! Yeppers......that's why I got one as well. Did not necessarily need the Hemi, and the gas thing was going on as well.....so, the 4.7 was a nice alternative. It works for me. I do find the lower end torque is not as strong but the mid range is solid. Of course, a 4.56 rear end would help things along nicely! LOL

Dodge had to do something to make there base v-8 competitive with everyone else's. 235 hp out of any v-8 is so 1980's..lol.

Congrads stevo936, you're driving a really awesome truck! Yours is the same setup as mine, hope you love it as much as I do! Check out the write up at allpar, they do a good job explaining the changes made to the 4.7. Also, how did you manage to find a QC 6speed? I factory ordered mine.

Thanks man, I do love it very much can't wait to start modding it. I just kind of fell upon it lol. I bought a reg cab with the hemi a few months ago and the reg cab just wasn't cutting it, so i looked on autotrader. And bam I found the exact color black, quad cab 4x4 with six speed and it was still brand new. And it was only 10 miles away from me!! It doesn't have 20s but i can deal with that for now.. haha

Apparently the dealer goes all over the east coast looking for them, because they are rare and people want them. He had a blue one too but sold it a few days before i got mine.

When I went in to the my local dealership they couldn't believe I wanted to order a 6 speed QC, new car sales manager told me it was the 1st 3rd Gen. QC with a 6 speed he'd ever seen. On top of that the '08 is the perfect year, the only year with the tweaked 4.7 and the 6 speed. My oldest has been shopping autotrader for a while now, it's amazing what you can find. Good luck with your new machine!

When I was truck shopping I ran across a few 2008's with the 4.7 and 6-speed that were quad cabs on Autotrader.
