Default Single plane aluminum intake

Hey guys I was looking into supercharging my 4.7 ram and was wondering what I would need to do it. People have told me that I need a single plane intake and so I was hoping that someone (possibly airram) could explain how the set up of it would go and what I would need to be able to proplerly supercharge my ram. I would be adding headers, race-ported heads, H/O cams, 2600 stall TQ converter, 4.56 gears, a programmer, 70mm TB, and obviously the supercharger which I believe means that I don't need a cai if i am not mistaken. Do I need the race ported heads and a single plane intake? I am just over my head when it comes to supercharging because I am a bolt on mod man who knows how to lift a truck but not how to set up to run down the track. lol

im not totally sure, but i think depending on which supercharger kit you get you may have to get beefier fuel injectors and pump to feed that beast. most may already come with what you need for that though.

anyone have any knowledge about what this intake does though? And I forgot about the pump and the injectors. I think I will just save my money though and invest it into other performance mods. But I would still like to know that the single plane intake is used for and what it actually does.

here is the best website for any 4.7l owner that want s performance. http://www.airram.com the single plain intake gets rid of your throttle body style intake. it is a must since there are no specialized superchargers for the 4.7l's. the hardest part of the operation will be aligning the cogg(pulley) in order for a belt to power the sc. you will also have to buy these intake runners to mount the single plain intake from airram. it is a lot of work and mathmatics to figure everything out so being the bolt on mechanic you said you are you may be getting in too deep. now an alternative would be say a procharger. and everything else you want. However do remember that your piston profiles prevent you from running a lot of boost safely but you can find forged everything from airram.com

Are you going to use a centrifical type like a Paxton or Vortech or a roots type like on the Lightning/Cobra? It makes a difference.
