Default lamp out light..any suggestions?

So a while ago while I was in Nashville,tn my lampout light can on. Now i know that is should mean that an exterior light or fuse for one of those lights are out. however I have checked all of those things and none of them are out to include my blinkers. The only thing that I know is out is my drivers side door accutuator. Could that make the light come and stay on/

Did you test your brake lights? Same thing happened to me with the brake light. Have someone step on it while you check. If not that, then your guess is as good as mine.

mine did that but it seems that the light came on about a week before my light actually went out and both times it was one of my brake lights so just keep watching it and you might just be surprised.

That's crazy that it came on way before they went out. mine has been on for about 2-3months now. I guess that I will just check them all again and again until one goes out.

all lights to check-

Headlight high and low beams,
Front turn signals
Front marker/parking lights
Fog lights
Rear marker/parking lights
Rear brake lights
Rear highmount brake light (on the cab)
Rear turn signals
Lic plate lights
and
cargo lights

that should be about everything to check, good luck

I have also heard of the light bar in the trail lights causing problems with internal bad connections on the 06-back with the 3 bulb system. 07 and 08 only have 2 bulbs, one tail/brake and 1 back-up.

you got a big wiring problem or a bad ECU.

take it in to the dealership

when you have this problem next try looking for codes. If you do not know how to do that just turn your key three timesall the way forward with out starting it and all the way back. if there are any codes they normally show up. however i am not sure if this feature is on the '02 models. most likely it is your ECU considering all of the problems they have had with this paticular year model.
