Default Starter / Wireless Control Module / Key Issue?

My dealer's having a hard time replicating and/or diagnosing a problem I'm having with a '07 1500 Hemi. My truck will crank but sporadically will not fire. The first time this happened the truck started and was idling for a few minutes then quit- I tried to restart and the motor cranks; but I couldn't get it to fire. I tried a few more times and the same thing- no firing until I tried to start in neutral. I don't think it's a safety neutral switch though because when I have had this issue I can't always reliably get it started in neutral. I was told to try the spare key if the truck wouldn't fire to see if the key had gone bad and that hasn't corrected the issue. It's been really cold here and that's about the only thing that I can think of that might have been affecting the truck but the ignition system has tested fine and nothing's pulling any codes. Any ideas?

It sounds like your having issue's with your passive anti-theft programming in the ecu. Did the dealer at least reflash the ecu?

Yup agreed, the first step would be to re-flash and go from there...

If you have any other transponder keys or remotes to other vehicles on the keyring, try removing them.
