You'll find that most guys won't know this answer due to most guys aren't dry pavement queens!....lol

I would check Tirerack.com for the reviews on that tire as you will get a better guide.

rubber bands wraped around the rim would be a heck of allot better than the goodyears

HAHA.

I have 37k on my HP's and I would rather ride my bmx bike to the store during a rain storm than drive the truck...

Racing slicks would be better than most GY tires in the rain.

I have had GY tires before (Both cars and truck) and they are never good on wet roads.

My experience with michelin tires exceeds my expectations on both my trucks and cars. Are they worth the premium dollars? Only you can decide. I have used the XCX model on my 4X4s. They gave me more than 100,000 miles of service, fairly quiet, good gas mileage and allways got me through the winters in the mountains of the northeast. They do not make them for rims larger than 15 inch. I have heard that the AT2 is a better tire and based on the Tire Racks rating, they rated number one.

I'm going to be a bystander here. The least aggressive tires I've bought in the last 18-20 years were the A/Ts I've put on my ex's 4x4 Grand Cherokees when I was married. But I am kinda interested, I just don't know why...
