Default Problem with CAI install, help PLEASE

im in the middle of installing my K&N. please excuse this question if its stupid but the directions are asking if the truck has an air injection valve? im in the process of trying to install the tube support rod but cant figure out where to bolt it to? do i bolt it to the header or not?

I can't remember, it's been about three years since I installed mine, but I know I didn't have any problems. Let me flick on my desktop PC and I'll see if I got any pics. If not, I'll try to get out and pop the hood and snap a couple of where everything is hooked up before it gets dark. Have patience, it's Christmas eve and I'm the chef, but I'll try to get you a pic or two if nobody else chimes in first...

It's very overcast (but I doubt we'll have a white Christmas here in central Florida) and it's just my cell phone cam, I also have the model 77, you probably have the 63, but maybe these will help you:

thanks for the pics. my brother came home and helped me out, 2 heads are better then one i guess. i guess the truck does have a AIV cause we just bolted the hose support to the old resonator box hole and it worked fine. but that thing is LOUD! im very pleased with it. ill post pics soon.

It shouldn't have if it doesn't have a smog pump, unless it is actually talking about the EGR valve.

All my GM's had A.I.R. but my ram doesn't...thank god because when the pump starts to go out they squeel like a byoutchh.
