$661 for four years?? Wow! I just licensed my 08--$437 for a year. But I guess that's because we don't have sales tax...

When i bought my dakota i paid $7000 for it and the tax was about $620 on it. CT has high taxes and it sucks. Went to the DMV got a number and waited in line. Me and my father went to Buger King and back before my number was called. In total we were there 3 and a half hours. Connecticut only has like 4 DMVs for 3.5 million people.

i have a neat little auto registration place here on base (Camp Pendleton) and there is never more than 1 other person in there. and there are like 4 tellers. and they do all the paper work for you, and are super nice to boot! only downside is that you pay an extra $10 for their service. but i certainly dont mind.

I am in the Houston area and we pay about $60-$70 per year for tags. You get your notice in the mail and you can take it to most grocery stores to buy them without having to go to the tax office....nice....

Yeah, cost is about the same here in Florida, it was a little bit higher in Georgia the 14 years I lived there.
You get your notice here now, you can reniew by mail or the internet. But if you go to the Tag Office, it's never more than a 10-15 minute wait anyway, topps...
