whos in the 100K+ club?
Just went over 150k last week on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4.7L 4x4. Truck seems to be still running strong. Replaced radiator about 10 years ago. Had a radiator hose blow two years ago, an electrical problem a few years back to cost me about $500, and during the warranty period, something let loose in the rear differential and tore it up but completely repaired under warranty. Now for the irritating issues - almost completely lost the clear coat on my hood and roof after only hand washing my truck for the first 5 years. Dash board cracked about 8 years ago but has not caved in. Rear driver side door lock does not work. Heater core clogs and I have to flush it annually to get defrost and heat. Oh and while I was 3 weeks out from ankle surgery, I pissed my wife off and she walked off, and in a foolish attempt to drive with a post op walking boot, I dropped the back into a ditch and the transfer case shift rod fell off. Using the turnbuckle replacement posted in this forum, I replace that cruddy rod and grommet.
I've been irritated by the cosmetic problems of the paint and dash but to be honest, the truck has been running strong for 14+ years with minor issues. I'm actually considering my next truck to be another Dodge Ram. Just wish I could trust that I could be 90% happy both mechanically and cosmetically.

What are you doing to your transmission thats worse than the abuse I put mine through?
My truck has 171,000 miles on it, original engine, original trans and trans filter, and honestly I feel horrible to even admit this, but I've never even checked the fluid on it once since owning it for the last 3 years (I probably should tomorrow) and I bought it at 112,000 Miles. Prior to me owning it, it was my best friends First Responder Vehicle and it has not had an easy life at all. I tow vehicles and pull out people in the ditch all the time, wisconsin snow storms getting buried in, plus my tire smoking habit (8 sets of rear tires in the last 3 years) and mangled spider gears in differential, but the transmission has been rock steady, the one thing along with the Hemi that I've had zero problems with.

I have 185,000 on my 2007. Besides replacing a water pump at 153,000 she's running just fine. Been running NGK double plats since i got her in 2009. Full synthetic Amsoil and long life filter, K&N air filter and mid grade gas. I've been told many times that my Hemi needs the copper plugs but I haven't had a day of trouble. Shaleen, that's her name, and I are quite comfy.
