my volant made my flowmaster 40 throatier but the intake itself isnt loud at all. intake and exhaust compliment each other very well. with a tuner its even better.
you can cutout the stock muffler but its HUGE so if you get a replacement muffler that long it will be just as quiet. if you do glasspack that would be badass.

Yeah, I gotta say, the CIA changed the tone for sure (for the better IMO) but I don't really think it made it louder. Now the LT Headers did both for sure...

MY CAI, Headers & FM50HD muffler make my truck sound awesome! Closest thing I can compare it to is being at the track, when the old late '60s & early '70s big block V8s are revvin' up and rarin' to go!!!

don't spend any money. crawel under your truck and locate the useless piece of metal they call a muffler. un bolt the front clamp and rip everything behind it out. just keep the rubber mounts just incase your girl hates the noise. it will be loud and don't worry bout the back pressure with the cats in place you will have no probs.

You may not have inspections, but most states that don't have inspections, enforce the noise laws.

If your area coppers are PIA's, you might want to look into the electronic cut out, this way, you can open and close it as needed. Rip everything out, and you will have some problems hiding...
