That information looks like it is really old (last updated 2004). I wonder if it is completely accurate for the later 3rd gens?

Well he has the older style headlights so that means he has a 2005-prior.
Anyways, the differentials are the same until you get into IFS newer models. A 9.25" corporate rear end won't require any diff fluid or any more amounts of fluid from one year to the next!

For a 2007, the owner's manual states GL-5 SAE 75W-90 for the front (4x4), and Synthetic SAE 75W-140 for the rear. The OM doesn't state the capacity, but from what I can find, the front takes 3.4 pints (1.7 qts), and the rear takes 4.4 pints (2.2 qts) + friction modifier if it's LSD.

An '04 manual will be pretty close to yours. The fluids and specs should be the same anyways.

 

you basically fill it up to the drain/fill plug thats what the manual says

 

so im doing synthetic 75w-140 but if i dont have lsd i dont need posi fluid or anything else right?
