Default KC Daylighters in grill?

I know lots of people have put lights behind the grill but looking at the "walmart Hella's" they are only 55W. Has anyone put something stronger back there like the 130W or 100W Daylighters? I noticed that Walmart has some knock-offs for like $20/ea. I know I will need 14ga wire but what about a relay and such is there a wiring diagram for the way it is suppose to be done?

I don't want something to melt the grill or that would be expensive!

I have the 100watt KC's behind my grill and so far no melting. The lights were on for 1 hour with the truck stopped and haven't melted anything. And im not sure if you have to run relays and what not but i did anyways.

I run a set of 4300k HIDs in my Hella 500 behind the grill, only 35 watts and no heat problems.

so it sounds like the heat is not much of an issue? though I assume the HID lights are less output and the other's are the Hella 500's which are only 35 watts so they are cool? But the 100watt KC's are right in line with what I am looking at.

Anyone have a wiring diagram and/or know where to pick a relay and how to properly size one?

Really if you think about it the heat from the lights is nothing more then radiator and cooler heat its about the same temp as the radiator on normal level the lights are a plus if you want to melt the snow and ice from your grill. the grills are made through a heat pressure molded so it takes alot to heat them up.

HID put out about 3 times the luminosity of a halogen light so they are way brighter. At 35 watts they look as bright as a 150watt halogen, depending on the degrees Kalvin. The lower the k the "whiter" the light. 4300k is very white, 20,000k is almost purple and only half the output of the 4300ks. I now have my low beam, fog lights and Hellas all 4300k HID. For 210 watts I am putting out as much light as 900watts halogen. When I go up a hill at night, I see blue sky ahead of me. LOL

I have the Hellas behind the grill. I bought them on eBay for $40 brand new. It was not the kit, just the two light assemblies and brackets, etc. I was thinking of adding a light bar out front and adding two more lights.....

hmmmmm.....maybe!
