Default Need Exhaust Help

Ok I am having problems getting a exhaust for my truck. I want a nice sounding system without drone. I really wanted the Borla and its is not even out of production for the 2008 QC Shortbed 5.7 Hemi. So I decided to go with Corsa and according the website they have one for my truck. Guess what it does not fit. After calling and talking with Corsa today they are still in research and development on my truck and it could be another 90 days. I am willing to spend the money on a good system what would you guys do. I really dont want to wait.

I bought a Magnaflow SI/SO for and had the shop in town fab some 3" mandrel bent tubing for mine, ran me 300 start to finish, but as I live on an island there wasn't many shops to choose from, you could shop around and find somewhere that would be cheaper and then you can choose the muffler you want as well as have a fully welded system. I ditched the resonater too and am very pleased with the sound and the power it opened up in the top end.

The hangers on the 08 are different and something about the bend. We used part # 14408. After talking to Corsa they said it would voild the warranty if we welded on new hangers and the 08 is still in R&D

Wow, i thought the 2 years were identical. Why not just buy a muffler and have a custom shop fab up the pipes?

08 has a different cat converter supplier and they have no front resonator. This is why Magnaflow changed their listings from 06-08 to 06-07 and are redesigning the kit for the 08.

Couple of dumb questions. SI/SO (Does that mean Side In/ Side Out?)

Your lucky I can not find a dealer in Kansas City that has mandrel bender but I will keep searching. You said you have 3" tubing . I am glad you said that I thought I had 2.5". I am thinking of changing all the tubing and getting a Borla muffler. Do you guys think I can get the same sound? What tubing should I use?

One last question does anyone have a picture of the resonator so I can see what it looks like?
