Body Lift Installation
Okay, so I searched around the forums for a while and couldn't come up with an estimate on how long/how much a body lift installation will be. My local shop that I trust completely is charging $650 bought & installed, but I don't want to just walk in there and pay that if I could get a better deal somewhere else. So before I start calling around asking I figured I would ask some of the guys around here that have had it done. How much money did you have to spend to get it installed, or if you did it yourself, how long did it take to complete?
Thanks,
Matt

That is a pretty good price. I put mine in with a friend and it took us pretty much a whole day, but thats with taking breaks, and about a case of beer. If you have to time and place to do it you could do it yourself it wasn't hard at all and save yourself some $$.
Providing they are using a PA Body Lift Kit with bumper relocation brackets and installing the gap guards as well, jump on it. The parts are going to cost them $300 easy, higher if they don't buy dealer wholesale. The labor price then would be on the lower end of the scale.
If they have a good reputation and a body lift is good enough for what you plan to do, then jump on their deal...

The only welding that is required is for the blocks that go between the frame and the bed. Four blocks is all. You could have someone mig weld them in real quick. No biggie. You need these if you plan to load up your truck at all.

+1. I had to grind the crap out of my front bumper too. That and extending the fan shroud were the biggest pains. I would jump on there price!
