Default big thud

when i start my hemi it sounds like the engine is hitting the body on the drivers side.

anyone elses do this?

Nope, only when I hit that cat the other night!....lol


Sounds like either a loose motor mount. The initial jar of the motor when it fires up is pretty significant. You prob don;' hear it when your driving because of all the other noises around.

Maybe its the exhaust hitting something?

I would have someone start your truck up while you instect the motor mount for any play. Maybe the rubber isolator boot is all worn already? Check for looseness

i have to wait for the 1/2 of ice to melt befor i can open the hood...

Too funny...I almost couldn't get my rear cab door open this morning cause all the ice packed up on my step bars.

so have you opened that hood yet?? if it was me id have a blow dryer out there getting the ice off so i could get the hood open just to see what the problem could be. cant imagine you would have a broken motor mount on an 06 already but anything is possible. keep us updated on this so we canhelp you through it if need be.

No hair dryer needed.
Just start the truck up and let it get warm. After about 30 minutes of it being warm you shouldn't have any problems taking your hands and pushing the ice off if it hasn't melted by then.
