Man that sucks, people like that should be dragged behind the truck they hit. Because of people like that me and my wife get into it everytime we go some where, I park where noone else is even if it is a block and take up two spaces, and it never fails some d*&k wad parks in the stall next to me even if there is 50 spaces on both sides of me. Good luck with your truck.

Looks like you got hit buy a trailer hitch!!
It will go on your no-fault which will not raise your rates, you just have to pay the deductible.

Default fix it out of pocket.....

Comp coverage just covers "Acts of god" tree falls on it, flood, fire, theft, ect.

Collision is for things that have collided with your vehicle..... such as someone hitting it in a parking lot. I've already been through this with my wifes car..... somebody hit it while she was in the mall...

Here's the Comp explanation directly from Farmers insurance website.

Comprehensive coverage protects your investment in your vehicle by covering losses to the car resulting from fire, theft, falling objects, riots, storms, earthquakes, floods, collision with a bird or animal and other natural occurrences. Like Collision coverage, Comprehensive coverage generally includes a deductible which you select. Comprehensive coverage is normally required if your vehicle is leased or if you have an outstanding loan on the vehicle.

Good luck with it..... it really sucks when people can't even be honest enough to leave a phone number.

Ebay Ebay Ebay. If you ca do yourself. Did mine after a fender bender and it is easy. The 05 and up are different but do on know what if any thing other than the cover. Found a guy in Texas that takes them off new trucks and installs off road brush bumpers. Good luck but it may be cheaper to do it your self.

You are right. I can't think of anything else that would have made that dent than a trailer hitch. Height, the focused point of the hit, no paint left (even though what is shown is behind the license plate)

What does the license plate look like?

Had something happen like that to me and a friend about 15 months ago, thats what we did, we were in a car though, we made it the perfect excuse to put new doors on both and the new bumper...

Things happen, but its all how you look at it that makes it a good or bad thing. You have every right to be upset, we were and I'll be pissed if someone touches my truck when I get her the way I want, but take it in the best strides and you'll both come back better than before!

Yup, when I was in a wreck with an SUV, I was on my someone elses insurance at the time since they wanted me to pay 300.00 a month on a policy on my own vs 104.00 a month for one car... it wasnt our fault but it jacked up the rates on them by 300/term (5mos+1mo free)

Now, I have USAA, and I have some sitting damage on the car I have now, and USAA's policy that I have if I made a claim on it to fix it... it wouldn't, now for what I have I pay 65.00/month with the accident on the file and single rate female under 25 0.00 deducable... granted its a mid rate, but I dont think that its bad at all... the truck I think will taunt me a bit more

We are gonna look at the ploicy and call the ins office on monday and ask how much it's going to be. It falls Under the Unliscened/uninsured motorist. If my deductable is more than $500, ill go get an estement. If my deductable is only $250 ill have them fix it. It musta been a truck or suv with a hitch and just backed right into it hard. Really hard. You guys know how thick the metal is on the bumper.
