Already asking for better gas mileage

For the tuner i'd get a diablosport predator ($375)...you get more for your money. You could also find a used superchips 3815 ($200-250) but they're the same price new.

Gas mileage is all about driver habit...use a constant light throttle and slow acceleration keeinp her under 2000rpms and you'll be golden. I keep my tire pressure between 35-38 psi....that pressure seems to be a good mix between tire life and mpg.

I added a soft cover and saw no real increase in mileage on my 08. I have heard that the Predator will give about a 2mpg increase with an extra 20hp to boot. I'm waiting on mine to be shipped.

Of all the mods I made, the only "measurable" mpg gains were the following.

(1) Run synthetic oil and lubricants, 1/2 mpg
(2) Add air to your tires. I run 42-44 front and 38-40 rear. Picked up approximately 1 full mpg. I run the 17s in the winter and 20s in the summer. The 17s (stock) have approximately 47,000 on them and have worn even with 5-7/32s tread left. The 20s have less mileage but appear to be wearing even using the 2 psi less. The ride was not bad and I have a regular cab (120 wb), but the Rancho's made it fine.

I also found that a soft cover had no effect. It is also said that a bud shield reduces gas mileage, but after mine was ripped off in a car wash, I noticed no change. Additionally, I found no difference using 87 or 89 gas

If its a brand new truck the milage will definatly be less through the break in period, maybe wait till you get a few oil changes then reset the overhead computer, might be better milage if you keep your foot out of it.
