4.7 performance
they cannot void warranty under magnusson-moss act unless they can prove that whatever problem you are having is due to the mod you added. good luck on the sts turbo def keep us updated on that. going to cost a pretty penny but will be worth it. you going to build your motor up anymore to handle the boost?i cant imagine these 4.7s cantake any more than 5-7 lbs boost. id be worried about these 54rfe trannys too they dont take tons of power well.
about the only thing that will get that 4.7 going is a gear swap. my dakota had the factory 3.55 and would bury the speedo on the highway everytime. truck shut off at 118 mph. getting out of the whole sucked. went with the 4.10 set up and made a big difference. put the truck in a different rpm range sooner and it just took off. did not lose much on the highway. www.fastman.com makes a great throttle body for these trucks and a good price $180.00, superchips also came out with the tuner for the 05, 06, 07 4.7 might want to look into tht also. my biggest bump in the butt, was a zex wet nitrous kit. 125 shot. but i only use the 75 shot. you can try and get a turbo for your year or try and piece one together. members on my other forum that have 4.7 have been getting no where with companies.

I'm not looking to "race" the truck so to speak.... I just want to feel some decent "push u in the seat" power when I accelerate from a light and such. I'm tired of my truck being all noise with the 40 series flowmaster but no real go behind all that noise.
The truck is not my everyday driver which explains the low mileage and it's really sad when my 04, 4.6 liter Grand Marquis grandpa car has more get up and go then my truck does lol
I will begin driving it more if it was more spunky.

I dunno.... there are allot of choices to make and everything needs to work together for the right outcome.
My brother is telling me to do either the STS turbo or find a supercharger.
He's saying that by the time I dump hundreds of dollars into bolt on's I'll only see a moderate performance increase and would have spent more then just buying a Turbo or supercharger.
I'm going to start looking around for that and see where it leads me. He seems to think I can find a used supercharger or turbo that somebody has pulled off....I don't think so but I'll look
That's how he got his BMW done.... He found all the parts here and there to assemble a complete system for his car. took a long time but it works flawlessly. The car is very impressive. He's already ripped the diff off once with it on launch.
I'll figure it all out I guess.
Thanks

the sts turbo with sct tuner all said and done is going to cost you a few thousand. probably in 4k range. i would rather build my motor up with the 4k to be bullet proof first. then saving up more to do the supercharger/turbo setup. just my opinion. checkout airram.com he is the best goto guy with the 4.7. YOU WILL WANT TO DO GEARS. it is the part of the problem in the trucks. especially if you have 3.55 stock. i have 3.92s and still want a little more. with headers, new y-pipe ( stock is terrible) get rid of all resonators,tb,cai, efan( to free up a little power robbing), programmer and cams and youll be in a whole different animal from stock. cehck out Nick from airrams 4.7 WAY WAY faster than stock 4.7l and even some hemis.

Honestly, it's just my home depot stuff getter, other then that it usually sits parked so I can't justify dumping $10K into a truck only worth $13K right now, if it's even worth that much. The way the truck market is right now you can't get nothing for them anymore.
I have the 20" wheel option too so I also have the 3.92's....
I'll figure it all out...I'm researching everything, and talking to allot of people (and getting a wide range of opinions too) before I start dumping money into it.
thanks
i dont mean build up all the internals just the cams really. heads can be expensive. for around 2k you can get your self a impressive 4.7 where as you would have to spend double that for a turbo setup and have it tuned properly. headers, cams, programmer, cai, gears and tb can be got for a decent price especially if you do the work yourself
look into pro charger if you want just a quick bolt on but you may need to bump up the injectors a lil. Stick with around 6psi and even thought they do not make one for the 4.7l rams they do make it for the hemi and the mounting points should be close to the same with little to no modification. but it sounds like you just want s little more si i honnestly would just go with the programmer, headers, cams! Oh and the whole i'm not looking to race it comment...wait intil she is a lil peppy..all you'll want is more1
