Default 08 After Market Wheels

I did the search thing and read alot but has anyone took their valve stems out of their 17" stock rims and installed them on 20" rims and the dash light went off?

As long as you run the same recommended tire pressure that is in the door jam of the truck, the light should stay off. No matter what size wheel you put them in.

Guess i just dont get what the valve stem sends a signal to? Seen so many Differarent things on internet from Blue Tooth to you name it. Just tryin to figure out how the thing works. I do know its a law that all 08+ vehicales must have it from factory.

08+ have to have valve stem unit things? that the thing that monitors tire pressure? how the heck did that become law?

not a law.....some manufacturers use the tire stem, others use a rim mount sensor that sends a signal to the car, but not a law....

It is a federal law, all vehicles under 10,000lbs are required to have a system the notifies the driver when tire pressure go low. A big "Thank you" goes out to the Ford "Exploder" and the clinton administration.

i didnt know that was a fed law. wow nothing better to spend there time with? no wonder why the economy is so F'ed up.
