Just took off the hemi hat and now a CEL?!
Well, I just took off the hemi hat to see how hard it would be to change the spark plugs. Then I took off one number 1 cylinder coil pack and the spark plug to see how bad it was (i will be changing them soon). Before I put the hemi hat back on i started the truck to hear the roar of air through the throttle body and then used my thumb to push the flap.....and the truck died. no biggie, i put everything back together and now I have a check engine light. I drove it around for a while to see if it would turn off like my VW does and it wont go away. what have i done??!!

Don't use your thumb to open the throttle blade....it's a pain but have someone in the cab. That's probably what threw the light.
The light could've been a IAT code also since the sensor is in the "hemi hat". Eventually the light would've went out on it's own after a few drive cycles without a repeat code thrown.

yeah its throttle by wire just turn pull or turn the wire on side and you can rev it from there. dont push on the blade as stated. it was likely your iat sensor as the culpirt throwing the code as it was probably just hanging to the side when running. it was just a soft code if it went off and didnt come back.
