Default Opinions on the Ram ?

Hey guys, I just joined up and I was looking for a little inside info from the experts (you)

I am looking to buy a new Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. I was wondering if there are any issues or problems anyone has run into ?

I will be using it to tow my show car (Buick Regal) and using it to haul wood and supplies for my shop.

Any help you can give me would be great.

Thanks !

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. But who really expects good gas mileage from a V8?

You have more potential for fun in the Ram than the Buick. Unless it's a Grand National...those are pretty fun.[sm=icon_ladiesman.gif]
Mine has been money well spent so far. 33000 miles and no major issues as of yet.

I jumped from chevy and the only thing i miss is the better mileage. My friend has a 8.0 liter avalanche and gets better mpg than my 4.7 go figure.

go get it before they run out. They'll pass anything including a gas station or 5 (but NOT 6) and wirth the 545RE 5 speed auto, the upshifts are seamless, but when you get on it, it will throw you through that back window.

Aside from the Hemi power, the thing I like about my truck is the handling. I've driven the new frod and it does not handle as good as this truck. The chevy is basically an aged design and was never much of a handler anyway.

If you're going to tow an enclosed trailer for your Buick, you may want to consider a 2500 Ram for the added towing capacity/stability. I towed my Coronet on an open trailer(u-haul) and it had absolutely no problem running 70-75 MPH.
