newbie here, need advise...
Hi, to all of you out there..!
Considering buying a well used 4x4 1500 5,7 dual -may be mega- '07 model from a local dealer...
I'd like to ask first of all, how this thing handles in the open road at normal speeds, lets say 60 up to 90/100 mph...
The second I'd like to know is what to look before buy...in what areas sould I pay attension to..
I dont know if the dealler could arrange a test drive -i assume he's not- so you're almost my one and only source for advise..!
Thank ya all in advance,

I don't know that I'd ever buy any vehicle without a test drive, especially a used one.
First of all, it's a truck. A big, heavy truck with a solid front axle, built to work. It's going to handle like sh*t at 90+ mph!
The MegaCab has turned out to be a very solid truck. The only concern areas that I am aware of would be the "death wobble" that all/most newer Dodge Trucks (especially the SFA ones) experience, especially at highway speeds and the fact that the air conditioning system does not sufficiently cool rear seat occupants...

And when did your truck grow a SFA?
As stated above it's seen as a huge problem in the SFA trucks and now a lot are reporting it in the newer 1500 coil over 4x4's.
Not an issue at all with the torsion bar 1500 4x4s...

1 - What is SFA?
2 - Whats the difference of the 2?
I'm new and cluelss but least I'm cute, so it compensates and balances it. It also gives me the element of shock when I use that as my excuse and then I learn a lot more than the person thinks... and then apply it *laughs*
Ok I got 2 questions:
1 - What is SFA?
2 - Whats the difference of the 2?

2) As opposed to a IFS or Independent Front Suspension (ie. CV Axles).
The former gives more of a solid, unbreakable (well I've busted a few) front end platform. Found on 2500 & 3500 Dodge Heavy Duty Trucks and the 1500 Mega Cab.
The latter gives a much more car-like ride, especially at highway speeds, over bumpy roads. But take a CV Truck off road, run it hard, especially with the burden of bigger tires and this is what you get (trust me, I've changed out a couple of busted CV's):

Well, I have had my mega up to 115 a couple of times. Rides real smooth for me, but I have the stock tires and everything. I am usually cruising around 80 - 90 (just to keep up with traffic).
Change to offroad tires and you will have the wobble.
