Exclamation Can We Paint our Chrome parts? to much work?

Hey everyone I have an 08 dodge ram big horn with the Inferno Red Crystal Pearl paint.. i was wondering instead of buying a new front and rear bumper.. is there a way to paint the stock chrome bumpers to the color of my truck? and if i could would it be more to paint it or just buy them with that color, and how much would i be running myself cost wise per body part?.. because i been searching and you cant find any parts in that body color only the flame red...

Thanks for the help

Jeff

I had my chrome grille shell painted, bad prep work tho and some paint started peeling. Bumpers have been painted before, check out this thread:

There are other options as well like bumper covers etc.

Its actually not a bad idea for the bumper cover But yea $291 just for the cover and not including paint work... but i wonder if the cover will make the bumper poke out a little more then usual or if it will look original..

Id do it, im planning on getting that anyway. I dont think paint is THAT bad. When i got my hood done it was 325 including the grille shelle, (that he screwed up on). But he did a great job on the hood. Im taking some stuff to a friend of mine, eye lids, new grille shelle, and that bumper cover. Getting a deal since hes a friend this time tho. As long as i help, $100.00 covers the work and install
