There are replacements on ebay of varying quality at good prices. LMC Truck carries OEM, a bit higher than the ebay stuff but cheaper than going to a stealership...

sorry its an online free buy and sell, kinda like a Canadian version of Craigs list? and is listed by City and he lives in the big City in these here parts (200 mile radius) anyways.

As Hammer suggested ebay is a real good place especially if your only looking for one. You could also scope out an Alberta Recycler but most charge 1/2 price of what it's new at the Dealer, but that concept does not always apply, you gotta ask.

Alrighty, thanks for the replies fellas.

I know I can buy new/used ones all over the place, but mainly what I was wondering is if this is a common issue, and if so (or even if its not common) can it be repaired. I cant even figure out how to take the darn thing apart to look at it. I popped the bottom cap off and looked up inside... looked just like the passenger side mirror (which works just fine).

Oh well. Maybe I will have to resort to purchasing a new mirror.

My apologies, It pays to pay attention, you brought this back from the dead and I was talking about the fellow who originated the post back in 09 and he was from my neck of the woods, no wonder I lost you earlier, and I only had three beers last night. Hope it works out for the mirror, I mean.
