flatten spark plugs
I drive a 2003 dodge ram Hemi with after market intake and exhaust , after racing the engine not exceeding 5000 rpms the engine will start to run unsmoothly and rumble , when taking a look under the hood i find that my spark plugs are completley flatten out has anyone has this problem or knows what may be causing that
Welcome to DF...
Couple of questions,
1) what plug are you using?
2) Are all the plugs flat and by flat do you mean touching the electrode?
I do not have a Hemi but I've only heard of this happening when the piston hits the plug due to wear in the wrist pin... Alot of smart people here that can help

Any damage to the insulator?
When you say flattened, you mean bent right! No gap?
Is it the the same plug or multiple plugs that are having the same problem? It sounds like preignition. Maybe your plug wires are crossing another? You need to be specific.

Did it do this before you replaced the plugs???? I think you have the wrong plugs . And you can see the gap by just looking under the hood. I think you left out the part about removing the plugs

Yes they are touching the electrode completely pinch shut and both plugs in the 6th cylinder one plug in the 1st cylinder and one in the 4th cylinder , the spark plugs were replaced at the dealership so I assume they are the right plugs used if helps will post brand and number tommorow after work
and there should be no wear on the engine it is a brand new engine it had to be replaced under warranty due to the same problem , I run straight pipes off my engine and have a cold air intake and a hi flo catalytic converter

Really? That's weird...did they replace the heads also?
I gotta agree with that question being needed to be asked. 2 motors, same problem...sounds like an easy place to look to find the issue.
