1000 miles isnt much at all

Well said dirtydog. reminds me of my buddy who wants to lift his jeep 3 inches and put big tires on it but it is a pavement queen. And he doesnt understand what other stuff hes going to have to change for bigger tires on a wimpy 2.4l wrangler like gears etc.
Ried, just go for the damn coopers...they are an AT tire anyway and im sure they can take some decent off road abuse.

You had already stated this vvvvvvvv

Which one????

That is pretty much pavement queen to me! Right now, I'm a pavement queen. I have only been on one dirt road and it wasn't all that great. I have been in a few descent snow storms and the truck has been great! Ice is ehhhhh, but then again any tire isn't gonna do great unles it's got studs. I will admit, I had Hercules TerraTrac AT's on my silverado and they bit right into the ground. A little better than these, but I cannot complain about these Coopers, they look as well as they perform.

Just checked Didcounttiredirect.com Nitto's are $249 shipped and Coopers are $175 shipped for the stock sizes.
I cannot believe how much the LTZ's have gone up in price in just 3 months time! They were $160 when I bought them. Then they went up to $170 just before the holidays and now they are $175. That's a jump of $60 for a set. Pretty soon, they won't be the best bang for the buck! Better get'em while their hot!!! This is the exact thing that happened to the BFG A/T's. They were affordable at first and then everyone wanted them. Now they are way over priced and ofcourse, people still buy them! I think the mold and CAD design of that tire has more than paid for itself, you think they would come down in price from sticker shock???nope

ried you said you want an aggressive thread then in another thread you were figuring out how much it would cost to make your truck like an srt-10. what look you going for aggressive to go offroad or pretty pavement queen?

I don't know why everybody who wants a mildly aggressive A/T tire doesn't seriously look at the Coopers. The only factor the jury is still out on is long term wear, because they've not been on the market that long. But unless you play hard off road or have a need for a thicker ply rating, those tires can't be beat for the money...

Actually they are an Extra Load rated tire. I could sit on the tire and it would just start to crush. That was before it was mounted to the rim obviously.
Also, the TerraTracs I had on my Silverado were a C rated tire. I never had one issue and i loaded the crap out of my truck and offroaded that ***** beyond belief...hehehe

when a redneck says ply rating he usually ain't referring to towing, it'd be puncture resistance and usually side wall...
