In the winter, maybe once week or so if the temp is close to or above freezing.

In the summer 1-2 a week

winter: anywhere from 2-3 weeks. depending on the temps. but i always go outside and pour hot water on it to get most of the salt off.

summer: atleast every 2 weeks, usually every week.

not too often...until now. i just bought a pressure washer tonight so things are about to change. No more driving to the congested car wash places and waiting forever at a chance to wash my truck.

All depends on when my buddy has time. He manages a Hotsy Pressure Washer shop. Im waiting for him to "donate" a used machine he takes in on trade.

Your driveway must be one big ice rink???
Hot water isn't good for the paint. Well, it strips the wax off if you had any on there. That's why automatic washes are bad and those hot waxes are bogus. Warm water is fine, but not scalding hot!!! Geez, try putting super hot water over your winshield when it's 10* outside..Yikes! Crack!

I wash my truck 1-2x's/wk in nice weather and EVERYTIME I have driven in a storm where it gets built up underneath. Generally it costs $15+/- to hand spray it off getting underneath really well.

Winter I hose it off as long as it is above freezing as often as possible. Hard to wash when it is cold. Summertime twice a month she gets washed.

Also, it depends how often you drive your truck? My truck isn't my daily driver! I have owned it since the beginning of March 2008 and haven't hit 3kmi yet.
