Nah, I will probably never have this truck over 70mph. If cared about speed I would have kept the custom 69 mustang I used to have, Actually same goes for looks.

Its just that If I spend the money on my truck, I like to get something more than just looks back. If I get looks and function, Great. If I get just function, Still Great. If I get Just looks, Not so great for me. Don't get me wrong, I will eventually do things to improve the looks of the truck, Stuff like LED tailights, Better looking headlights, new grill, etc.. But thats a couple years away. First I am going for functional improvements.

By Function I mean healthier engine, improvements to 4wd capabilites, etc... Speed is the last of my concerns. These trucks have so much more potential than just speed.

The mustang was a 69 mustang (I beleive they called them Fastback.) It had no hood, And a it was fitted with a blown 454. Other than the engine sticking way out and the fact the thing was so loud it could break windows (Streight pipes out either side), One would never guess that it really had any power. The body was all dinged and dented. It goes w/o saying it wasn't street legal.

It was my fathers before he passed away and I got it. It basically sat in the garage until I sold it to a good friend. My father spent the batter part of 5 years putting it together though.
I got rid of it beacause it was WAY more power than I can handle. And yes It could and did go faster than a Camaro among other things.

I think I have a picture of my dad sitting in the thing, Ill try to find it and scan it in for you.

You'd be suprised what you might see when running around up in that area of town on a saturday night or nice sunday. In fact the other day I was up there and I saw the first year Smokey and the Bandit TA with the t-tops off with a dude wearing a cowboy hat like the one that Burt wore and the matching shiney silver jacket too. A little too into the whole look if you ask me... lol
That would be a 1977 Trans Am!! Always good looking when Black with Gold stripes!!

The engine looked alot like that, Although I don't remeber it being that high up. Not street legal at all if they have 8 straight pipes, 4 out of each side. Got waay to much attention for my liking.
