Sorry to burst your bubble, but there have been other people who swapped out their 4.7 for a Hemi. Not trying to be mean, it's really not a rare vehicle. No matter what, it's not rare. It is a unique truck though, but so are many other vehicles on here.
It may not be a one of a kind but there is no disputing the fact its not something you see or hear about very often or at all.
Compared to most Rams, there probably aren't that many with that setup on the road. So yes, his truck is rare.
If he took it to an auction, they wouldn't sell this truck as a rare one, whereas a special edition of only a few hundred is classified as rare. His is just classified as a unique vehicle.
But If you have the half ton axle and IFS, I bet the 0rginal 4.7 was exchanged for the 5.7 and the fly wheal + clutch from a hemi 2500 was swapped in..
Thier two versions of the getrag 6 sp, on the pass side of the transmisson thier should be a sticky with date of birth, type of getrage.
A hemi with a 6sp is not a drag racer, Thier not slow, but geared for torque.
You don't wanna buy that Bighorn badge. That sucker cost me $85 on the window sticker! It does nothing for me. I would rather had the $85 in my pocket.
$85 probably could have gotten myself some foglights or the 34 gallon gas tank option I wanted from the factory. $85 bucks for a plastic sticker...wow..
