'08 Ram 5.7 Hemi vs '08 Ram 4.7
Don't mean to beat a dead horse to death, but went and drove the truck today... oooooooooooooooh yeah... much better than the 4.7L...
The sticker says it might possibly get up to 20mpg on the highway, not 23... my bad for the false advertising...
Couple more questions, if you don't mind...
What exactly is the "multi-speed overdrive automatic transmission"? Surely that means more than just it is an auto tranny with more than one gear?
What is the "multi-displacement engine"?
And a few more details about this one...

That's what is commonly referred to around here as MDS. It's when the truck can shut down 4 cylinders to save fuel when cruising at a constant speed. Some people like it, some hate it. I am indifferent. I don't really notice when it kicks in, but I don't think it saves that much gas anyway.
Sounds and looks like a nice truck! I'd go for it!
I would buy it. It has the optional wheels and tires like mine does.
I'm not a big fan of silver, but it looks good and for that price, I could own it.
I like the MDS. I do alot of highway driving at times. Many people turn it off when the use the Predator programmer, but I left mine on and it seems to stay engaged better and longer since the engine is making more power now.
As for MPG, I took a trip in mine with 4 large adults and some gear in the bed. With the cruise set on 80 most of the way, my truck averaged 18.0mpg. This was with summer fuel. Winter fuel will cost 1 to 2 mpg.
I installed my Predator Thursday. I was averaging 16.3mpg round trip to work (38 miles each way about 70% hway, 30% city). Friday (I work an hour later and cought a lot more traffic and had 1 WOT burst to pass some idiots who couldn't drive the speed limit) I averaged 17.9mpg round trip. This will improve on Monday when I go back to my 6am to 2:30pm hours and miss more traffic.
On a fairly flat highway I have reset my overhead and @ a steady 55mph for 30 miles I got 21.9mpg.
Anyway, mileage will vary depending on the time of year and driving habits. I suspect yours may be a little less than mine since it is a 4x4 and mine is a 2wd.
If had it to do over again, I would have gotten the 4x4. I only lived 3 miles from work when I bought the truck and had to get another job when the plant closed, but I'll make it in the snow. I will just take longer
