Don't mean to beat a dead horse to death, but went and drove the truck today... oooooooooooooooh yeah... much better than the 4.7L...
The sticker says it might possibly get up to 20mpg on the highway, not 23... my bad for the false advertising...
Couple more questions, if you don't mind...
What exactly is the "multi-speed overdrive automatic transmission"? Surely that means more than just it is an auto tranny with more than one gear?
What is the "multi-displacement engine"?
And a few more details about this one...

I just got back from the dealership... I went there with my mind 99% made up to pull the trigger - 100% if he would budge on the price just a hair. I was hoping for a slightly better price than what he had offered on Saturday (both trucks priced at $25,300), but instead was greeted with new higher prices on both the Hemi and the 4.7L. The Hemi is now $27,865 and the 4.7L is now $25,853. Then out of the kindness of the sales manager's heart, he added "$2,000 dealer cash" to get the Hemi to $25,865 and the 4.7L to $23,853.
So now I'm confused as to why the new pricing that took effect yesterday has the 4.7L nearly $2,000 cheaper and the 5.7L Hemi $565 more?
Anyway... I had to come home and chew on it a bit. I left there and drove 500 yards to the Toyota dealer and priced a '09 Tacoma for $28,000 (don't think so).
I was under the impression this new "employee pricing" they were rolling out today would reduce the prices, not increase them. Anyone have any insight into this?

Update... went and gave it one last shot today... and that truck ended up following me home. Nice ride, plenty of power, and I'm actually really starting to like the look of these Dodge trucks...
Thanks for all the advice, explanations, opinions, and enduring all my questions.
I have three words echoing in my head right now: LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY....
Thanks,
Mark
