Well tonight I came across the first Black 2009 Dodge Ram Reg. Cab Hemi Sport I have seen on the road since they came out. It was completely stock even had the temp plates still. He sped up to me after we both turned onto a road that was 25mph and stayed next to me kind of reving inching forward then slowing down then reving inching forward again and slow down and continued to do this for about a half mile which is when this particular road changes from 25 to 45 and is roughly a quarter mile from that point to the next traffic light. Needless to say when the speed limit changed we both hit the gas til the light. I have to admit that those trucks are pretty damn quick.... just not quick enough though. From the time the speed limit changed and we hit the gas he was nipping at my bumper but never caught up. I have been waiting a while now to come across one because I wanted to see how they compared to my truck and I was not disappointed. With a few performance mods that will be one bad truck..... But until I come across a modded 09' its my 05' - 1 and stock 09' - 0....

if he dropped to your back bumper right away he hit the gas after you did. but despite that, its impressive that you at the very least are on par with an engine that has 50 more hp stock.

 

If the truck was that new he prolly didnt want to hammer it down all the way.

 

I gotta diagree. Any new Hemi owner that is inching another driver clearly wants to race. I went easy on my truck the first 3 days of driving it and after 150miles. ***** to the wall. When I say I went easy, I still ran her 75% throttle, just not full throttle until after 150miles. I didn't buy a high hp truck to grandpa around town with!

 

when my buddy got his new 08 in the fall the dealer told him to go easy on it for the first 3000 miles.

 

The 09 wouldn't have been anywhere near truckin151 if he didn't...50bhp and 30ft lbs isn't all that much. Truckin151 had the hit...add in his mods and the outcome sounds about right. Now if they 3 honked it off it would've been closer IMO..
