5.7 hemi vin # location?

Default 5.7 hemi vin # location?

I can seem to find the vehicle id numbers on a 2004 5.7 hemi mag. have looked all over the block. I have the engine and trans on the floor. any help would be appreciated.

do you have the ecu......or pcm..... or what ever it is called? it should be on there

Look through the front window from the outside on the drivers side. Should be right there on the dash at the very bottom where the window is blacked out. There will be a little oval shaped opening you can see through and the little plate will have the vin#. Or just look inside of the driver door jam.

I only have the engine, I am trying to car fax it to see the mileage.

I don't know if the VIN is on the engine... Sometimes they have a sticker that has the last few digits of the VIN, but this is mainly so they can match the engine up to the chassis in the factory. If you only have the engine, it might have already worn/torn off.

I was told it has the vin so the police can track the stolen ones.

It ised to be cast into the block in the old days. I have no idea on the late model engines sorry.
