Default delayed shift points

was rippin on the truck tonght and at wot, just before it hit 2nd gear it kind of paused for a second before it shifted, did the same thing goin into 3rd. Never really noticed this before and just wanted to make sure it's normal. I do have the diablosport tuner installed in the truck, along with borla exhaust and k&n cai. Wonder if i could fix this with the tuner

It is normal. It is part of the torque management system that backs off power just before the shift to keep the transmission alive. It is even worse without the performance tune in it. I couldn't find any stand alone transmission adjustments in the Predator while using the canned tunes. It only had a couple of options like WOT rpm shift points, MDS on or off, etc. The one I had in my 01 F150 allowed that torque management to be turned off. Not so on the Hemi one. At least not yet that I could find. It might be a good thing, I have heard that these 545RE transmissions aren't the strongest things in the world.
