I drove through a puddle today and got my truck nice and muddy. That's the extent of my offroading adventure. I really like how the truck is kind of high off the ground even for a 2WD... Much more so than let's say a GM truck that's even a 4x4.

you know what, I noticed on the freeway the other day. a lifted Chevy Silverado was about the same height or not even as high as my stock Ram. made me chuckle

Also bringing the tire pressure to about 16psi will help out lot on the sand

I saw a commercial where GM prides themselves with how the keep their vehicles so low to the ground. I don't see much of a point in a low 4X4 vehicle. Ground clearance could prove to be a problem.

I was thinking about that but then I would have to find some place to put more air in my tires. The closest place is like 10 miles away.

if the OP is truly worried about driving on sand, then just buy some damn sand tires and call it a day... they'll be S#it on the road but all your sand driving needs will be met... lol
