yeah, the 44 sounds odd on our trucks. They sound ok with a true dual set-up. Honestly, if you are not going to go true dual magnaflow sounds the best in my opinion. Everyone seems so obsessed with flowmaster, and believe i have heard some great 40's on muscle cars, but on trucks with the lower cfm output it does not always sound the best. Sound is personal opinion....btw

i heard having true dual exhaust is illegal? something about how you cant mess with the exhaust system between the block and the cats? i want true dual exhuast, but i cant fab stuff my self and im sure as hell aint payin some garage to do it $$$...

no one makes a true dual exhuast, i want everything from block to tail pipe.

50HD sounds pretty good, but all the flowmasters are restrictive as hell, more so than most stock muffler. Yeah, I think you got talked into what they had basically, the 44 series is a car muffler...

I know this is a flow thread but.... has anyone heard the 4.7 with a Hooker Aero Muffler?? I've done some research on here but haven't found many threads. I just ordered one and am hoping it is not as loud as the flow 40 or 44 series. THX

I loved my FM sound on my old Hemi, but it came with the American Thunder CAT back kit, which has a 50 series in it.

Everyone had different tastes, what one will like, the next will not. In picking an exhaust it is best to get others ideas, then search the web for sound clips, they are all over youtube.

I agree...everyone has their own opinion when it comes to what is best and which brand to go with. What one man loves the next will say sucks. Seems to happen a lot on here. I've been looking through threads like crazy and I see so much brand favoritism you can't get a good informative answer. Personally, I think Magnaflows sound too tame. But then again some set-ups with the FM sounds too tame. It just depends on the set-up you have and what type of sound you are looking for. Or if you just wanna go for the best flowing exhaust. Just go to YouTube and listen to all the variations of Dodge exhausts.
