I have a 12 point 1/2" deep wall socket that i use on our work vans. they have american racing wheels and nothing fits except that, i believe its a craftsman.

lol, they work well, its what i have on my truck now. The biggest problem with trying a real thin lined socket, over time as the lugs rust on and become stubborn etc, when you have a flat and need to break the lugs free, the socket breaks without releasing the lugs.
Ive seen a few friends end up with that nightmare.

These are the ones I have. Works with the SRT's and Moto Metals.

yes that would suck, i would only use one as a last ditch effort, but this is what i was reffering to
http://www.amazon.com/Power-Wrench-T...3029953&sr=1-6

works great
and was way cheaper at wal*mart

yes, the thin wall socket is not an ideal long-term solution. but it would work for this one instance so you weren't stuck with no wheels. I agree with the splines, i like those the best.
