The v6 ain't that slow. I've beat some 4.3 chevy's and a v8 ford, but I think that was the smaller small one.

to make your v6 run a hemi you would need at least $7000 in mods. you have some big shoes to fill to give it a run for its money. my 4.7 with just superchips, exhaust and cai can hang off the line but at the 100 ft mark the hemi starts to run away on me. i ran with a v6 dak and ran away from him right off the line. i call BS on running away from the accord v6. my girls 2004 accord v6 will outrun my bro in laws stock hemi all day long. her accord v6 is a light fwd chasis with 220 hp with very very little drivetrain loss. all she has on hers is a cai, plugs and wires so its probably pushing 230hp maybe a little more. your v6 probably isnt even pushing out 190hp at the wheels yet. the rams have alot of hp/tq loss in the drivetrain.

I had a 2008 V6 3.7L in my previous truck.
In my quote below I was referring to the amount of horsepower and torque between the 08 hemi 5.7L and the 3.7L.

So CHEERS to ya'll who wanna make your v6's quick, i put in the wrench time the money and beileve me you make it quicker but it'll never be fast enoff :P...

keep in touch with my threads if your curious what im up to.

and i think right now i could take a hemi for a walk... only because im lighter, WAY lighter tha the quad cab hemis i got stock options so no weight in the doors no extra weight anywhere ive stripped probally close to 500 lbs now. Anyway, il film a race when the track opens im expected some decent runs

p.s im to lazy to go back through it pardon my mistakes, im kinda intoxicated LOL
so i guess you wont be joining us anymore in the V6 forum when youre done
what have you stripped so far? have you tried getting rid of the seats, stereo, bumper, a/c, you know basically make it have what a nascar stock has which is nothing more than a plastic body, roll cage, and one racing seat with a steering wheel
dont forget about the wheels, did you go lightweight there too
what are you going to do with the old V6 and all its performance mods?

what's a hemi run stock?

i can't wait until spring when i get my truck on the track. i was running 16.2's last summer, and since then i've added headers, a new exhaust and a jet stage two.

i hope to be in the 15's =)

my 4.7l is in the high 15s. but its also a qc 4x4 with leveling kit and heavy toyo ATs. so im happy with that for now. its doesnt get the power to the wheels very good once its gets going its quick. very quick getting from 30-75 when getting on the highway. i know ill be soo much happier once i get my 4.56 gears, fastman tb, efan, cams and headers. it will be a totally different truck.

I heard if there were ever a turbo for our v6's they would be hella expensive and would run just under the hemi... Not worth it.
