1500 mega cab question
i dont know why hammer. relax haha thats just what truck trend says that doesnt always mean something. just came across it. but it probably has to do with that fact its a 3/4 ton 2500 and a 1/2ton 1500.
The towing capacity on an '07 mega cab with the 4.10 rear is actually 8510lbs. I tow a ~7,000 lb camper with mine on 4 and 5 hour trips with no problem.
One time I looked at my 1500 next to a 2500 mega cab the dealer had. The 2500 had one extra leaf in the rear, which would add to the tow capacity...other than that from what i could see they were the same truck. I bought the 1500 because they had the options I wanted/needed (Laramie package, etc.) and got the better deal on it.

The wheels are the same... 8 lug, which would lead me to believe the rotors behind the would be the same, so the brakes are the same. And if it has HD wheels and brakes why would dodge spend more money bolting them to the 9.25" rear end?
now this a real megacab 2500
