1500 mega cab question

The diesel will get 3 mpg or so more, which in this case is about 25%. But, you have to consider how much more expensive diesel is (anywhere from 20 - 50%) depending on current pricing and where you live (not to mention that it might be hard for some to find). Additionally diesel costs about $6-8k more up front. That's not to say that a diesel doesn't last twice as long (or longer) and has all sorts of other benefits when towing (torque), etc. There are just more factors to consider than mpg numbers.

When I last posted on this thread (03-13-2009, 02:04 PM) I was driving a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie. Loved that truck and still think the Ram's with Hemis are the best 1/2 tons, but I've moved on and have updated my signature, which gets reflected in all of my old posts as well.
