Lots of time and $ spent on that!
i was just thinking that dodge should have made a megacab longbed from the factory so people wouldnt have to modify theirs. i think the megacab looks a little off with such a short bed for a large cab

that other megacab sure is sweet. let me know when its for sale lol jk

They probably didn't make them because they would be too big. Like 22 feet long. Plus it's built on the frame for a QCLB so they don't have to make another frame. And a QCLB is actually longer than a megacab - barely.

Before I looked at those links I thought BFT meant something other than "Built For Towing"

The only concern about the megacab is gas... with the megacab you will prolly get around 10 to 12 mpg or less in city because it is heavier... but i would suggest you to get a CTD (cummins turbo diesel) with that you will get 15 mpg or little bit higher in city... you will get a lot of advantage from diesel rather than having hemi... Just wanted to let you know

+1^ and the CTD is a lot more efficiant, no top end work required for 250,000 mi.

Very true, as I get about 11.5 MPG in the city and 14.5 on the hwy with my 1500 mega cab. BUT....I only paid $22,500 for an 06 with 26,000 mi, loaded with everything except leather. I looked for 4 months and couldn't touch a megacab cummins for less than $28,000, many of which didn't come with all the options that I have in the 1500. The Hemi costs me about $500-600 more a year to drive than my 05 cummins did. It would take nearly 10 years to recoup the cost of buying the diesel motor. That being said I REALLY miss my diesel and can't wait to have another one again.

I've heard life to overhaul expectancy of 350k. Either way it should last a Looong time before it needs major work.
