Question Part on "national backorder" - HELP

Help - my 2008 Ram 1500 4x4 has been at the dealer for 14 days waiting for a TIPM & shift motor module. I have been told they are on national backorder and the dealer has no idea when he can get them. I've tried other dealers with no success, And yes, I now have a "file" with Chrysler for all the good that is doing. Anybody have any ideas? I hope this is not a preview of what's to come with the big 3! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Golly-gee-willikers, thats a Swell idea!...lol Post up the part numbers. The only problem lie's that his parts are Warrantied and the TIPM is rather expensive I would imagine.

yeah but if the dealerships in my area happens to have it his dealership can order from them. i know ho wmine is they will say they cant get it if the local dealerships in their network do not have it or the warehouses do not have it. they always say the searched but do not do a thorough search of every dealer in the country haha which is what i expect.

Hey Rich, didn't you have a similar problem when your driveshaft grenaded on you? If I remember without doing a search, that was you, wasn't it? And the shafts were like on back order pretty much everywhere?
