I love the slush fund idea! We do something similar. We put all of our money into one account to pay the bills, then we both get an allowance every 2 weeks we put into our own separate accounts. We can use our money for whatever we want. I buy all kinds of crap with MY money and she doesn't say a damn thing about it. Same with her purchases. Not my money, I don't care. Works real well.

I knew I was going to get "grow a pair" answers when I wrote this. Just to defend myself, I spend a lot of money on hunting and fishing and the other toys, so this is just more money being spent on one more toy, according to the wife. She doesn't seem to understand you need a good looking truck when you're taking it back in the middle of nowhere to go hunting.

I like the slush fund idea, I used to do that a long time ago and forgot about it. Thanks for the link to eBay; I'd rather not go through the stealership.

Just go to the dealership and buy them. They cost $100 for the pair. Install them and she will NEVER know!
I bought them and then just returned them. They are not pure black. They have a grayish appearance to them and I didn't like that. I ended up undercoating my whole truck with Eastwoods sealer. It's not the usual undercoating that remains pliable. This stuff is a textured paint. It will not come off. My inner fenders look great and will stay protected. I actually like having them open now because it's easy to reach in and spray unlike the fenderwells you have to reach from underneath. Stuff gets everywhere, so fenderwells will only do so much. If you drive over gravel roads. Big plus fenderwells!!! They stop all the rocks from flying up underneath making all kinds of noise. I'll take a pic of what my fenders look like with the spray.

Dang. I didn't read the title all the way. Had my wallet out ready to make an offer, then realized we were talking about your truck.

actually since its only about $70, if you could wait for about a month, then you could have it with no problem. just tell her that you are spending money on lunch, then just secretly make you own lunch and pocket the money. id figure $5-8 on lunch a day, and in no time you will have what you want. go buy them and put them on and if she finds out and asks how much they are, just tell you bought it for like $1 on ebay- im sure she wont know what they are or how much they really cost
