Navigaion Radio???
Hey guys I'm wanting to add a aftermarket Nav radio to the truck... Problem is I don't want one that is a single din and folds out of the dash. Is it possibe to cleanly install a double din unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the imput guys. I was confused, because on Crutchfield's web site when i put in my truck info they only suggest single din units.

Just a tidbit....Crutchfield SUCKS. They generally have great info, but it's not always updated for the newer model years and they are waaaayy over priced. I have a Pinoeer Avic-f90bt that I paid $700 from SonicElectronix.com. One word AWESOME. Sure it can be glitchy here and there compared to OEM units, but for the money, cannot go wrong. It has a SD card slot. I have an 8gb card in there that has over 100cd's. No need for a CD changer! It's a giant Ipod screen if you have one.
Anyways, My double din bezel right from the dealership was $130. Not bad for a factory colored bezel if you ask me. I would not recommend cutting your bezel. It will look like crap if you don't have any fabrication skills. Just rmember that you will need a Canbus adapter for any aftermarket radio unless you know how to creat a power supply. I just went without and hooked it all up manually. Not too hard really. Just power, ground, ignition power. That's it. You can buy a speaker connector from Advance or Autozone or even Ebay. I never hooked up speed sensor or that other crap. I also did the bypass for DVD's and changing Navi functions while driving. It's easy. If you do like tht unit, make sure you get the 90 series and not the 900 series. 900 has no ipod jack included and only has 2v pre-outs. Other thn that, they are identical units.http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...VIC-F90BT.html

Don't cut your dash bezel. every single one of them i've seen looked like complete ****. ONe guy here did a computer in his with like a 7" screen and he fiberglassed it in. that looked good. every other one i've seen looked like edward scissor hands went to the dash.
Buy the bezel, make it look right.. last thing you want is someone to be admiring your nice navi and then have them see the nice hack marks running around the edges....
and i agree with dog.. the f90 is a damn nice unit. does just about everything. decent price to. they are glitchy at times compared to factory nav's but for what you get it's a fair trade off IMO.
hey dog for bypasing the navi did it just need ground to the park brake wire or what did it need.
