If you don't want permanent, go with the tint. I used VHT NiteShades and clearcoated.

That looks really good. How much did the VHT cost you?

i dont know about you, but i cant stand when they professionally tint lights and they come out a flat black vs a gloss black. which is what they do, they add a hint of black paint to clear and spray the lights. but like the other guy said, i would think for the price you pay, you could pick up a set of tinted ones, led even.

I got the VHT off e-bay for about 30.00 for two cans. It took me about a can and a half to do all three of my brake lights and my head lights. I chose not to clear coat mine for a couple of reasons, one being I didn't want the glossy look. By laying down the thin coats and letting them dry between coats mine came out with a semi-gloss.

I got the VHT from Summit Racing. I want to say it was around $20. I may have put three coats? There wasn't much left in the can. If you don't clearcoat them, they will eventually fade out and are succeptable to scratching. Clearcoated, they are protected. I tinted the third brake with 5 Percent tint from what I did on my windshield. I bought some "smoked vinyl" on eBay to do my headlights and it was crap. I use vinyl everyday it it's just too thick to comply for the headlights.

i would say for a regular cab tint it would be about 130 bucks for 5% and window tint over the lights works good i know a couple buddies who have it over taillights and it gets a good amount of light through them
