You know a Jato rocket would weld up to the bed of these trucks pretty well, Then it wouldn't matter how much the truck weighs. And you would get a fairly nice quarter mile if you didn't have to start from a dead stop.

Yea we could take off the tailgate and mount them right down in the bed! We could also get some stickers. I heard the walmart ones add like 120491532456 HP.

Well i'm off to go buy my rocket and some stickers.

I think the rule of thumb was .1sec for every 100lbs left behind in the 1/4mi
Well, 2,000lbs =2 full seconds added for the 1/4mi since the Ram QC 4x4 weighs over 2,000lbs more than my mustang. If your Ram had the same power as my Mustang, you would be running low 13's at best. That's 473 at the wheels which ir roughly 545hp at the flywheel. 345+200shot=545hp just to get low 13's. Again, that's a rough idea because drag is going to be much worse with the Ram.
Here's a whole list of guys with 4x4's some not even QC's(Reg.cabs) pulling high 15's on a stock set-up.

One other thing....Here is something I just found on a search. he clais .7tenths for a 150shot on a 3500lb car. Check it out http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/10-sec...l#post10826596

The Z weighs about 3,200 with 405 at the crank. The truck weighs lets say 5,800 and has 345 at the crank. That's a 2,800 pound and 60 HP advantage to the Z. Or you can take the weight of the truck 5,800 and divide it by the 345 HP and you get 16.811 pounds per HP. Now take the Z 3,200 and divide by 405 HP and you get 7.90 pounds per HP. If you add the 125 shot you get 5,800 divided by 470 and you get 12.34 pounds per HP. I am not a gambler but I would put some money on the Z.

I have almost the same combo in my garage. 07 QC Hemi and and an 02 Corvette coupe with a Procharger on it. The Vette puts 473 HP and 440 torque to the ground. The Vette is quite a bit faster.

+2 much more than 125shot. The guy who mounted my Coopers has an 06 Ford F250 that has dynoed at 650rwhp and 780rwtq. That's just insane and also the power needed to move that heavy SOB accross that 1/4mi line fast enough. That is nearly double the power output that a stock ram with a 125 shot would be.

has he run it? ive been beaten by a few 11 second rams, but they were heavily, heavily built cummins...

in short, i dont think that the 125 shot alone is going to get you into the 12s.
