It is a great deal. Especially for someone my age. Geico, Allstate, and others were giving me quotes in the $300-400/month range.

Well we all know how 06CountryBoy5.7 feels...I have no real loyalty towards Geico; if someone else quoted me at $20 less a month I'd be gone. However, their rates in NY state are very good IMO. Progressive.com has never beat them in my 4 renewals.

My truck got hit and run, over $2,000 in body damage, and the local Geico shop had it on the lift that day, and good as new, with a Class 3 hitch installed for free, in 5 days.

Mechanical breakdown insurance covers me if, or when, my engine, trans, axle, AC, ect, shts the bed for a $250 deductible, up to 100,000 miles.

Additional renters insurance through Geico/Travelers is $105 a **year**.

So, it's really not all bad. Other states and situations may vary...

Yup, went from 197 a month to 253. So I changed to USSA and have it for 163 a month now and it covers all my mods I asked them about a CAI, wheels and tires, and stereo and they said if it was permanently attached to the vehicle it was covered. Can't go wrong with that.

Ok this is what I got... you all are going to love this....

I called and/or did the online quote and got the following:

Now what I'm getting quoted on is really low limits....
10,000/20,000 with 25,000 in property damage
No uninsured motorist, med payments or rental coverages
1000 deductible on PIP
500 ded on comp and coll on my 2006 Ram and my 2004 Mercury
Just Liability on the Expedition.

All three of my vehicles are paid off so there are no liens or banks to deal with on any of them...

This is Really basic lack luster coverage.. Hell at these rates I cant afford anything higher...
All 6 month policies except liberty mutual.

Progressive 1390.00 (And that's after being with them 17 years. )
Unitren Direct $4387 They dont offer "basic coverage" Just lease coverage.
AllState 1245
Liberty Mutual 2675 They insure my house 12 month policy
AAA Gotta call me back tomorrow
Nationwide 997
GMAC Insur 1688
USAA Only for military people
eSurance 1312
Travelers Site was screwed up...wouldn't save my vehicles
21st centry 1388

after all those I gave up out of frustration.....

and like I mentioned both my wife and I have spotless driving records.... I'm not sure what to think about all this.... I found several companies that dont even write insurance in Florida anymore

And I have two teen daughters to add in the next 6 months!!!!!

UHG!

And just in case I didn't make my point.

Get rid of the Comp and Coll. Well then again, 16 year old will be driving (you to the poorhouse).

I'm telling ya..... HOLY COWABUNGA!

I think I need to get rid of a vehicle and the girls will just have to do the same thing I did at 16...... Rely on fred and Joe and Hoof it!

I'll have to win the lottery just to pay my insurance bill.
I need to get out of Florida...EVERYTHING is just so damn expensive here.....

I'm 27, I totaled one dodge dakota and my insurance went up to $250 a month! (more than my truck payment!!!!) This is for my 2004 dakota. One accident, progressive insurance. I was told my driving record will be clear in 3 years which will be this march, time to shop around!
